The audience was comprised mostly of SMB, education, and government end-users. At the booth, conversations centered around tenant-to-tenant migrations, particularly from IT professionals in the education space. Over the past year, BitTitan has completed several tenant consolidation projects for universities with user counts in the hundreds of thousands. The largest of these was a 600,000-user project spanning 20+ remote campuses.
Attendees in Toronto were also curious to learn more about our capabilities around Teams migrations and Hybrid Exchange, which is currently in beta with select partners. Top of mind is the transition from Skype to Teams. While there’s little data that needs to be migrated between these systems, there is a larger, more challenging change management initiative to ensure proper configuration and adoption of Teams.
Microsoft Ignite: London
A week after Toronto, Ignite moved to the UK and grew to over 6,600 IT professionals. Our team saw heavy traffic at this event from both partners and internal enterprise IT teams. Tenant-to-tenant projects were a point of focus, as were discussions around end of support for Exchange 2010. Considering this deadline has been pushed back due to the number of customers still utilizing this on-premises option, IT pros are looking towards the October 13, 2020 deadline and beginning to plan ahead.
